Nant Ceiment Energy Park could generate enough clean, green electricity to power up to 61,100 homes.
We’re excited to be starting our early conversations with communities about our latest project – Nant Ceiment Energy Park – a proposed energy park in Carmarthenshire that could generate enough clean, green electricity to power up to 61,100 homes.
As we shape the plans for this new onshore wind development, we want to hear from people who live and work in the area. That’s why we’ve launched early engagement and are inviting local communities to share their views via our interactive platform, Give My View.
We believe that energy developments should benefit the communities that host them – not just through clean power, but through local investment, opportunities, and partnerships. That’s why Nant Ceiment Energy Park could deliver up to £643,500 every year into the local area via a Community Benefit Fund, creating a legacy of investment in community spaces, services and support.

But it’s not just about the fund. Our Community Investment team is committed to working alongside local people to improve access to nature, explore local employment opportunities, and support local schools and facilities.
Over the coming weeks and months, we’re aiming to connect with as many groups and organisations as possible – from local councils and sports clubs to schools and charities – to understand what really matters in your community, and how we can make a meaningful contribution.
“Bute Energy is pleased to be starting our engagement with communities in the development of Nant Ceiment Energy Park. From tackling the climate crisis, the cost of living, and our reliance on gas from
abroad, there’s huge potential for renewable energy in Wales to deliver lasting benefits for Wales and our communities."

The proposed site sits around 5km south of Lampeter. We’re still at the start of this journey, and no decisions have been made – so now is the time to get involved and help shape the future.
