Renewable Energy to Power Up Local Communities
Your Cymuned is the place you feel safe, where you call home, where your family are. You might work there, too. It’s the place that, together, we are invested in and want to see grow for future generations. We’re proud of the work we do together across Wales because, at the heart of everything we do is cymuned.
Our energy parks represent a £3billion investment and our aim is to keep as much of that money in Wales as possible for the benefit of communities, people, and the local economy.
In order for local communities to benefit from new green infrastructure from day one, we have built the largest team dedicated to community engagement amongst energy developers in Wales. Over the past few years, our Community Investment team have been working tirelessly to get to know the people who live in the areas closest to our parks.
The team are guided by themes and work closely with the community to understand how we could support across:
- Education
- Cost of living
- Health and recreation
- Environment and culture
- Employability
From boosting the local supply chain to supporting schools deliver climate education – we are proud that our Community Investment strategy is person-centred and ambitious.
