Who we are

We’re a renewable energy developer headquartered in Wales, on a mission to decarbonise our energy system to create a wealthier, healthier nation.

Our people are our most valuable asset and we’re proud to have attracted a passionate and talented pool of staff who are dedicated to their work and offer wider, transferable skills.  They bring expertise in planning, construction, project management, education, social mobility, engineering and operational phases of energy parks across the UK.

Our mission

We want to make the Welsh weather work for Wales through the biggest business investment in the rural economy in a generation.

We’ll play our part to build the UK’s energy security, bring cleaner air, create jobs and prepare future generations for work in the green economy.  We’ll support local suppliers, deliver industry leading social value and invest purposefully and meaningfully in to communities across the country.

How we’re doing it

We’ve built up a market-leading pipeline of Energy Park projects in Wales, which will combine the latest technology for onshore wind and solar generation to provide projects that will be delivering the biggest business investment in rural Wales in a generation.

Our story

Founded in 2018, Bute Energy was formed with a vision to create a more sustainable world – now and for future generations.  We fundamentally believe that climate change was the biggest challenge of our generation and so we’ve grown quickly over the past few years to develop plans for renewable energy parks at speed and at scale.

We’ve come a long way since our story began in 2018 and we’re proud of the huge milestones we’ve reached on our journey.  But there is a long road ahead and we’re determined to leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
