Boosting Community Engagement Through Digital Innovation

We’re taking a sep forward in community engagement through a new partnership with Give My View, a cutting-edge digital consultation platform. This collaboration marks a significant shift in how communities can participate in shaping the future of renewable energy in Wales.

Give My View, developed by LandTech, empowers residents to share their opinions via interactive, user-friendly surveys. These surveys are promoted using geographically targeted digital marketing, making it easy for people across Wales to give real-time feedback on local energy park developments.

We want to ensure that a diverse range of voices are heard in the development of our onshore wind projects. The hope is that the platform opens the door to individuals who might not typically take part in traditional consultations, giving them an accessible and impactful way to share their views.

“By introducing Give My View, we can reach even more members of the local community and access real-time feedback, helping us understand who is engaging with our consultations and to adapt our approach over time.”

Rhys Taylor, External Affairs Manager - Bute Energy

The platform’s features – ranging from multilingual support to real-time analytics – allow us to monitor engagement and adjust our approach dynamically. It also encourages giving back: through the platform, communities can vote on how donations are distributed to local causes, further deepening local understanding.

The first of our energy projects to utilise the platform are:

which are in public consultation until Monday 16 June, 2025.

Lia Butler from Give My View added:

“We’re proud to support Bute Energy in bringing communities closer to the decision-making process. Together, we’re helping local voices actively shape the energy future of Wales.”

Our Energy Parks

We’re developing a family of onshore wind energy parks across Wales which, together, have the capacity to produce 2GW of clean, green energy – enough to power over 2.2 million homes.

Ours is the largest single investment in onshore wind in Wales.
