What’s Bute Energy trying to do in Wales?
When Stuart George co-Founded Bute Energy in 2018, he and his staff have been committed to addressing the climate crisis by harnessing the power of Wales’ natural resource to generate clean, green energy. With over ten projects currently in the planning process and more on the horizon, the company’s group of wind projects has the potential to generate 2GW of energy – that’s enough to power the equivalent of 2.25m homes. Bute Energy has ambitious to deliver around 25% of the Welsh Government’s target of 100% renewable electricity by 2035.
“As we look ahead, we are eager to make our own substantial contributions to future milestones like today’s – our £3bn pound investment shows the scale of what we can achieve. But this cannot be achieved with the enormous hurdles and delays facing us and other developers trying to build crucial renewable infrastructure in Wales.”
