Over the past three years, our charity partnerships have been a powerful way of bringing together our people, our partners, and our shared ambition to make a meaningful difference.
As our 2023–2026 charity partnership cycle comes to a close, we’re proud to celebrate not only the funds raised, but the relationships built and the impact achieved alongside two incredible organisations: The DPJ Foundation and St David’s Hospice Care.
From the outset, we set out to partner with charities tackling some of the most pressing challenges facing communities in Wales:

The DPJ Foundation, based in Carmarthen, plays a vital role in supporting the mental health of those in the agricultural sector. Farming communities often face unique pressures, and DPJ works tirelessly to provide support, raise awareness, and deliver training that helps people recognise and respond to mental health challenges.
St David’s Hospice Care, based in Newport, provides free, holistic care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. Supporting communities across Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen, and South and Mid Powys, their work ensures individuals receive compassionate care from referral onwards—when it matters most.
A team effort
Over the past three years, our team has embraced every opportunity to support these charities—not just through fundraising, but through active participation, creativity, and teamwork.
Together, we have raised an incredible £27,500, which will be shared equally between both charities.
This achievement has been made possible through a wide range of activities that brought people together across the business and beyond. From a 24-hour Spinathon in July 2024—where colleagues cycled the equivalent distance of the Wales Coastal Path—to quiz nights, charity events, and sporting challenges, the enthusiasm and commitment of our team has been unwavering.

“We have thoroughly enjoyed our time as one of Bute Energy's chosen charities, and I wanted to extend my sincere thanks to you, and everyone at Bute Energy, for making this journey so wonderful.”
Emma Saysell MBE, Chief Executive of St David’s Hospice Care
As we mark the end of this chapter, we do so with gratitude – for the partnerships we’ve built, the impact we’ve made together, and the people who have made it all possible.
We’re excited to announce our next charity partners very soon and to continue this journey of supporting Welsh communities for years to come.
