The group is designed to be a space where we can meet regularly with people who live and work near the wind energy park – including community leaders, local organisations, and other key stakeholders. It’s an opportunity for us to listen, share updates, and make sure the local perspective is at the heart of what we do.
This isn’t about building support or challenging opposition. The CLG is a neutral space – it’s not a campaigning platform. Whether you’re for or against the project, those views will be heard through the formal planning process. This group is about open, honest conversation and making sure there’s a clear link between Bute Energy and the communities around us.
We want the Community Liaison Group to reflect the full breadth of our local community – its voices, experiences, and priorities.
That’s why we have invited representatives from a wide range of local organisations to take part. This includes Community and County Councils, as well as groups involved in education, sport, tourism, the environment, faith communities, farming, health, and support for young people.
The CLG will sit alongside – not replace – our ongoing conversations with local councils, councillors, and elected representatives. It’s another way we’re working to build strong, open relationships with the people who know this area best.
